Worksafepat has been providing PAT Testing services since 1993 - the brand started in Pontypridd, South Wales and quickly built up a solid reputation as a national provider before becoming a Limited Company in 2010. Since then we have expanded to provide not only in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT Testing) but have provided Consultancy Services for the Health and safety Executive on Guidance, The IET on Codes of Practice and delivered a 'call for evidence' for the Government instigated Lofstetd Report in 2011. We also provide accredited PAT Testing Courses throughout the UK delivering both workplace and Classroom based training for both maintenance staff and Duty Holder.
PAT Testing does not exist legally as it is a slang term. The Law states that it is a Duty Holder's responsibility to check to make sure that ALL electrical systems are of such construction and are maintained as a practicable step to prevent danger. The Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) Sec. 4 and other Legislation reiterates this.
We provide services in accordance with The IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (5th Edition) - Which consists of:
Formal Inspections not just a visual (Usually Skipped by other providers)
Electrical Testing of Appliances (Earth Bond/Insulation testing/Current Leakage Testing/Polarity)
FREE Minor Repairs (where appropriate)
Status Labelling
Fully itemised/Detailed Inspection and Test Results for Maintenance/Accreditation/Insurance/Records
Over the last 20 years we have provided and continue to provide PAT Testing services to businesses large and small from Musicians, Salons and Holiday Lets through to Industrial, Rail, Commercial Retail and locations as diverse as Local Government buildings, Schools, Colleges, Cathedrals through to Space, Defence and Security.
We were proud to be contacted by Airbus, Conduent and NIIT to provide Worksafepat training to maintenance staff.
The Worksafepat brand provides services to some of the most well known Companies within the UK.
